Nutella Cruffins

Nutella Cruffins are a delicious combination of croissants and muffins with a rich Nutella filling in every bite. It only takes 3 ingredients to whip up this flaky, buttery pastry loaded with chocolate hazelnut filling.

Ingredients

  • 1 frozen puff pastry sheets 2 sheets, thawed acording to the package instructions
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 1 large egg lightly beaten
  • powdered sugar for dusting on top

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and ensure it's ready for baking.
  • Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin pan with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
  • Unroll the puff pastry sheets onto a lightly floured work surface.

  • Spread about 1/2 cup of Nutella evenly on each rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges.

  • Roll up each rectangle from the long end to create a log with the Nutella inside.
  • Cut each log in 3 equal parts to make shorter logs.
  • Slice each shorter log in half lengthwise to get 6 pieces from each sheet.
  • Repeat these steps with the other dough.
  • Wrap each piece around your finger to make it look like a muffin with a layered side on the outside.
  • Place the shaped cruffins in the greased muffin pan, and brush them with egg wash if you like.

  • Bake the cruffins in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes. Remember to rotate the muffin pan halfway through baking for even cooking.
  • Once the cruffins are golden brown, take them out of the oven. Sprinkle each cruffin generously with powdered sugar for extra sweetness and a nice appearance.

Notes

You can totally use Crescent Roll Dough to whip up these amazing cruffins! Grab 2 tubes, and you're good to go. Just follow the same steps as before, and pop them in the oven. Bake them for 18-20 minutes, or until they turn a lovely light golden color on top. It's that easy – and the result is absolutely delicious!
