Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds salmon about 4 filets, skins removed, cut into 1-inch bites
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

For The Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce*
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce* or more to taste
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  • Prepare the Salmon. In a large bowl, combine the salmon pieces with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss to coat the salmon evenly in the seasoning mixture.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes. This ensures a nice, crispy exterior on the salmon.
  • Cook the Salmon. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray or brush with oil. Arrange the salmon in a single layer, leaving space between pieces. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Salmon should be golden and cooked through, with an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Make the Bang Bang Sauce. While the salmon cooks, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, hot sauce, honey, and salt in a small bowl until smooth. Taste and adjust the heat by adding more hot sauce if desired.
  • Coat the Salmon. Once cooked, transfer the salmon to a large bowl or serving dish. Pour the Bang Bang sauce over the top and gently toss until each piece is coated. (Alternatively, drizzle the sauce over the top for a lighter coating.)
  • Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions or cilantro if you like. This salmon is amazing with steamed rice, roasted veggies, or over a fresh salad.

Notes

Recipe Notes
  • No Air Fryer? You can bake at 400°F (200°C) for 12–14 minutes or pan-sear on medium-high heat for 3–4 minutes per side.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in the air fryer or a skillet to keep the edges crisp.
  • Spice Level: Adjust the hot sauce to your liking—add more for extra heat or keep it mild.
