6 cups mixed greens 2 medium apple thinly sliced ¼ red onion thinly sliced ½ cup raw walnuts chopped ¼ cup feta cheese crumbled For Balsamic Dressing 1/4 cup olive oil extra-virgin 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar see note 2 tablespoons honey 1 teaspoon spicy brown mustard ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt
Prepare the Ingredients . Wash and dry the mixed greens thoroughly.
Thinly slice the apples and red onion. If desired, you can remove the apple cores before slicing.
Chop the raw walnuts into smaller pieces.
Crumble the feta cheese if it's not already crumbled.
Make the Balsamic Dressing. Combine the extra-virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, spicy brown mustard, and fine sea salt in a small bowl.
Whisk the ingredients together until well combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Assemble the Salad . In a large salad bowl, add the mixed greens.
Top with thinly sliced apples, red onion, chopped pecans, and crumbled feta cheese.
Dress the Salad. Drizzle the balsamic dressing over the salad.
Gently toss the salad until all ingredients are well coated with the dressing.
